Selling agent Matt Dunne and Associates, Portarlington, will auction a circa 110-acre fragmented farm situated at Killeigh, Tullamore, Co Offaly, on 23 September next.

Used as an out-farm by the late Colm Fahy, Clonduff, the farm is set out in four blocks, all within a mile of each other, and was used over the years to fatten cattle. Described as “excellent limestone land”, the property should generate a steady level of local interest over the next three weeks, especially given that it is being offered in a plethora of lots.

Although the postal address is directed to Co Offaly, it’s understood that the majority of the land is in Co Laois.

Situated nine miles from Tullamore and 30 minutes’ drive from The Curragh, the property will be offered in four lots that include 34.6 acres at Roskeen, Killeigh; 5.13 acres of elevated land at Lackamore, Geashill, locally known as Peter’s Field – this commands extensive views of the Slievebloom Mountains, making it suitable as a potential house site subject to the appropriate planning permission; 46.75 acres with farmyard at Roskeen, Killeigh and 23 acres at Moneyquid, Finter.

With the exception of the 5.13 acres, the other three lots will be subdivided further at the auction.

The auction takes place on 23 September next in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore at 3pm. The guide is in the region of €10,000/acre.

to €380,000

A 50-acre non-residential farm situated at Teltown, Hurdlestown, Navan, Co Meath, was withdrawn at €380,000 at last week’s public auction.
