TECHNOLOGY News | Tractors | Machinery | Motoring Magnum is Tractor of the Year THE Case MX Magnum has been voted the European Tractor of the Year. The competition, which is run by the Italian Trattori magazine in conjunction with machinery journals from all over Europe, selected the Case from a list of 10 prospective entrants, in each of two categories. The selection process is comprehensive. Selection criteria include value for money, design, engine performance, operator comfort and numerous other categories. Winners are selected from the Tractor of the Year and Golden Award for Design categories. Publications Leading agricultural publications from 13 European countries, including the Farmers Journal, selected the Case MX Magnum as the European Tractor of the Year. The new range was awarded a combined total of 569 points, followed by the New Holland TM135 with 532 points. The John Deere 8010 series scored third place, with 510 points. The panel particularly liked the weight distribution of the Magnum, which places the engine directly over the front axle, in conjunction with the advanced ergonomics. The Same Rubin 200 was awarded the Golden Award for Design, followed by the Case MX Magnum with 80 points. |
