Forecast for the week ahead

Thursday/Friday

Changeable - some hazy sunshine at times, but outbreaks of rain everywhere too, with the chance of some heavy falls locally.

However, the dry spell may last through Thursday in some areas, especially in the north and northwest.

Temperatures around normal, highs typically 10 to 14 degrees Celsius, frost unlikely.

Winds mainly between east and south - could be quite strong at times, especially on Thursday.

Saturday/Sunday

Changeable spell - continuing dry and bright at times, but further rain or showers too, with the risk of some heavy bursts.

The longer and/or heavier outbreaks of rain are more likely during Saturday or Saturday night, Sunday probably seeing a mix of sunshine and scattered showers.

Breezy, and turning cooler as winds veer from southeast or south round to southwest or west.

Outlook Monday to Wednesday

Sunshine and scattered showers. Probably a lot of dry weather overall. Winds mainly west or northwest. Risk of night frost.
