Light southwesterly breezes, but overall rather cool. Daytime temperatures typically only 10 or 11 degrees Celsius.
The nights will be cold, with air temperatures falling close to zero, and a sharp ground frost is likely. Some fog patches also.
Saturday/Sunday
On Saturday, the morning will be dry with sunny spells. Winds will strengthen from a southerly direction and cloud will increase, bringing wet and windy conditions during the afternoon and evening.
The rain will be heavy and persistent during the evening but will clear Saturday night and winds will veer south-westerly and ease.
Sunday will be a bright, fresh day with a mixture of sunshine and showers.
Outlook Monday to Wednesday
The weather pattern for next week is an unsettled one, dominated by Atlantic weather systems moving in periodically over Ireland. So, overall, mixed conditions with some dry, sunny interludes and occasional wet and windy periods.
