Thursday/Friday

A bright fresh day on Thursday with sunny periods and just a few isolated showers.

Moderate westerly winds backing southerly by evening. Temperatures in the mid teens.

Becoming windy on Friday.

Strong southerly winds developing in advance of rain spreading in from the Atlantic.

A clearance following during Friday evening.

Winds moderating also, and veering southwest to west.

Saturday/Sunday

Rather windy on Saturday with bright periods and occasional showers.

Strong southwest winds. Cool. Heavy rain developing overnight or early Sunday.

Rain clearing from the west during Sunday and winds easing

Outlook Monday to Wednesday

Showery at first, with some heavy and prolonged showers likely in places.

Showers becoming more scattered later, with some good dry, bright periods developing.

Light or moderate variable winds becoming fresh northerly. Daytime temperatures below normal. Rather cold nights with a risk of some ground frost.
