Auction results : 12 acres near Celbridge

Coonan Real Estate Alliance, Maynooth, is handling the sale of a 12-acre parcel of land situated at Newtown, Celbridge, Co Kildare. The land is in two fields, currently in grass and comes with house site potential subject to the appropriate planning permission. The property is about 30 minutes from Dublin and two miles from Celbridge and is for sale by auction on 3 October in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, at 3pm. A guide of excess €500,000 is quoted.

52 acres near Kilcullen

Paddy Jordan, Newbridge, is handling the sale of a 52-acre farm at Carnalway, Kilcullen, Co Kildare, by auction on 28 September. Adjoining the Newbury and Hollyhill stud farms, the land is currently in permanent pasture and is classified under the Elton series of soils in Co Kildare. Located two miles from Kilcullen, the farm is being offered in two 26-acre lots. Ideally suited for bloodstock, the property is expected to achieve a figure in the region of €50,000/acre.

50 acres near Bandon

Auctioneer Jim O'Brien, CCM Property Network, Bandon, is handling the private sale of a 50-acre non-residential farm at Granreigh, Kilbrittain, Co Cork. Currently in stubble, the land would suit any farming enterprise and is set out in large workable fields. Overlooking Coolmain and Courtmacsherry Bay, the farm has expansive coastal views and is situated eights miles from Bandon. A guide of €15,000/acre is quoted.

Two parcels near Athlone

Kearney Auctioneers, Athlone, is handling the sale of 15 acres of development land at Castledaly, Moate, and a 25-acre residential farm at Killomenaghan, Fardrum, Athlone, by auction on 15 September, in FitzGerald's Lounge, Castledaly, at 3pm.

Wexford 129-acre farm withdrawn at E1.3M

It's understood that a 52.2-hectare (129-acre) non-residential holding at Tacumshane & Ballymurray, Co Wexford, was withdrawn at €1.3 million at last week's public auction. Before a small attendance selling agent, WFC Properties, Enniscorthy, opened the bidding at €800,000, which steadily moved to €1.3 million with bids from three active customers.

The selling agent is currently in talks with a few interested parties and hopes to conclude a deal shortly. A guide in the region of excess €1.5 million had been quoted prior to auction.

Described as "good sound land", the farm is currently in stubble and setaside. Accessed down a laneway, the property comes with an extensive farmyard that includes a 110 feet cattle shed with cubicles for 110 cattle.

146 acres for auction on 9 October

Elsewhere, the same agent is handling the sale of a 146-acre non-residential farm at Ballyvake, Enniscorthy, by auction on 9 October. This farm incorporates 55 acres of forestry (Sitka and Norway spruce) planted in '94 and comes with extensive farm buildings.

119 acres for sale near Enniscorthy

Meanwhile, a 119-acre residential holding is on offer at Ballyroe, Ballydonfin, Enniscorthy, by auction on 6 October. This farm is in grass and stubble and will be sold in four to five lots. Part of the holding offers development potential.
