Weekly Noticeboard
Dairygold and Boherbue top the July Milk League paying over 33 c/litre (excluding VAT and transport costs). Dairygold claim top spot paying 33.08 c/litre. The Cork duo also claim top spot when all co-op's are ranked on average fat and protein delivered to each co-op. The West Cork's and North Cork Co-op claim the top of division 2 paying a high 32 c/litre. North Cork claim top spot in Division 2 paying 32.80 c/litre just ahead of Centenary Thurles at 32.77 c/litre. Connacht Gold and Lakeland are also mixing it up at the top of Division 2. Connacht Gold were claiming they were paying the best price in the country for July milk but when you deduct all conditional charges and bonuses (TBC < 30,000 and 7 milkings storage clause) suppliers to this co-op are not getting the top price in the country.
Arrabawn and Monaghan pay a disappointing price coming in at less than 32c/litre. The wet weather bonus (we talked about last time) obviously didn't materialise for Monaghan farmers. Once again Wexford bring up the bottom of the table, and while the cheese market is said to be lifting, it did not materialise in July milk cheques to farmers. Joining Wexford at the foot of the table are Donegal paying 30.92 c/litre net of vat and transport.
