Comment: IFA Pigs Committee Chairman Michael Maguire said that price increases of a few cents were reported with demand strongest from northern factories that continue to offer 4-6c/kg over southern processors.

The weather across Europe is having a detrimental effect on the Bar-B-Q trade. However EU pig prices have not shown a fall of any consequence this week being mainly static. Most factories, although actively looking, were able to source pigs, this trend however is likely to change in the next couple of weeks when numbers are expected to tighten.
