Connacht Gold is investing €3m in the redevelopment of its store at Deepwater Quay in Sligo. The new store is scheduled to open in February 2009 and will create in the region of 10 new jobs in the town.
The store has been located on the two-acre site since the 1970s.
"This is a key investment by Connacht Gold,'' said Michael Guilfoyle, General Manager of Connacht Gold's Agri-Business division. "Our store at Deepwater Quay is the largest of our twenty nine outlets.''
When completed, the new store will include a 10,000 sq ft area dedicated to farm inputs. It will also consists of a pet centre, and its garden centre will be expanded.
