Potato Market Prices reported to IFA

Queens €3.25 - €3.50 per 10kg. €300 available 1-tonne box.

Premier €270 available 1-tonne box

Rooster €420 per 1 tonne

Kerrs Pink €450 per tonne

Comment: Due to the extremely difficult harvesting conditions supply of potatoes on the market is tight. Prices should remain firm. It looks as if there will be losses in crops due to the on-going very bad weather conditions and taking into account the lower tuber count in Rooster, growers need to get a proper price for their potatoes.
