Farm worker for New Zealand dairy farm

Waionehu Farm, in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand, is looking to hire a farm worker.

Some 510 crossbred cows are milked once a day on the 210ha farm, through a 32-a-side herringbone parlour.

Calving starts on the farm on 27 July with all youngstock raised on the adjoining youngstock block. The owners try to keep as much of the work ‘‘in house’’ as possible – they hardly use any outside contractors (they do all their own artificial insemination, most of the tractor work and all fencing).

It is a great opportunity to develop a wide range of skills.
