The Amazone Group recorded a turnover of €457m in 2017, up 12.6% from the previous year.

There was positive demand for products in all sectors, with the turnover in tillage and crop protection doing well.

Significant turnover increases were recorded in Germany, France, parts of Eastern Europe, Kazakhstan and South Africa.

In total, the company employs 1,850 people and it invested heavily (around 7% of total turnover) in research and development.

Continuing expansion of the factory sites

Amazone expanded its capacity by opening up a number of different facilities, including a new KTL paint factory in Hude-Altmoorhausen in northern Germany, a plough production facility in Mosonmagyaróvár in Hungary, as well as beginning to develop a site in Bramsche in northwest Germany which will contain an administrative centre as well as assembly and storage halls

At Agritechnica 2017, Amazone introduced numerous innovations, including several completely new product models such as the ZG-TS 01 trailed fertiliser spreader, the UF 02 and UX 01 crop protection sprayers and the Cataya and Centaya sowing combinations.

Three Amazone innovations introduced at Agritechnica were awarded silver medals.
