Gardaí in Offaly are appealing for information after an Ifor Williams trailer was stolen from the Lumcloon Cross area.

The trailer was stolen between Friday 9 September and Tuesday 12 September.

It is a double-axle 12x6 trailer and is 7ft high.

Crime prevention officer for Laois-Offaly, Graham Kavanagh, is encouraging all members of the public to put a unique mark on their property, so that it can be identified should it be stolen and subsequently recovered.

He also encouraged farmers to sign up to IFA’s TheftStop, which he said will greatly reduce thefts if farmers use the initiative.
