The BIS course gives students experience of both business and technology-based subjects, and promotes a positive student experience by operating an open door policy where students can engage with those running the programme via weekly coffee and networking sessions. A big draw to the course is that it involves a six-month paid work placement, which generally sees 50% of students go to the US. Eighty per cent of BIS graduates from 2013 are now in employment, and the remaining 20% are in further study or training, according to a survey. Check out www.uccbisblog.wordpress.com
