Waterford’s Francis Connors and Uskerty Diamond Lady have made it two wins in a row in the Connolly’s Red Mills Munster Grand Prix League, this time at Ballinamona.

Having won in the previous round at Aglish Gymkhana, Connors and the Hilda Anthony-owned mare maintained their good form take the winners prize after a 13 horse jump-off, with an unbeatable clear round in 32.37 seconds. All of the top eight finishers jumped double clear rounds. Kilkenny’s Kieran Carey and Hip Boy came closest to matching Connors’ time and crossed the line in 34.27 to take runner-up spot.

Francis Connors also took third place with Ian Smyth’s Capitol Cruis (35.09), while Tipperary’s Seamus Hayes and Kavalli Di Magico finished fourth. West Waterford’s Gemma Phelan slotted into fifth place with GRC Acapella, while reigning Munster champion Paul Beecher finished sixth with Loughnatousa Eric.
