The ‘guaranteed’ price for Friesland Campina has been lifted by 0.5c/Kg to 37.25c/kg, up from 36.75c/kg in June, and 36c/kg in May. This ‘guaranteed’ portion of the milk price will be further increased at year end taking into account company performance and profits etc.

“It is expected that the milk prices of most reference companies will increase further in July,” the Dutch processor said. “The prices for butter and cheese will continue their upward trend. The protein price in July is €608/100kg, while the fat price is €304/100kg.

The guaranteed price applies to 100kg of milk with a protein content of 3.47%, a fat content of 4.41% and a lactose content of 4.51% and is exclusive of VAT.

In a separate statement, FrieslandCampina said the organic guaranteed price for July 2017 is 50.25c/kg, a lift of 1.25c/kg compared to June.
