This is the second year this event has been run and Mullingar Equestrian’s Robert Fagan is delighted to be supporting this local charity.

The ride out will start at the Mullingar Equestrian Centre with registration at 10.30am and the riders and horses are setting off at 11am sharp. Riders can look forward to a beautiful ride out around the area of the equestrian centre and there is an option of loads of man-made cross-country jumps. Riders will also have the option to experience National Hunt jumps and a training gallop. Afterwards, riders can stable their mounts at the equestrian centre and take in the atmosphere of the Christmas equestrian retail fair.

Local man Joseph Murphy, who has qualified for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, will be on hand for the equestrian education forum. He will be in discussion with peak performance coach Jim Hickey on the importance of rider confidence in competition.

There will be many retail stands for a bit of Christmas shopping and the organisers are sure that Santa Claus will make an appearance and might even bring some well-behaved children for a trip on his horse and carriage.
