According to the EU Milk Market Observatory (MMO) the average milk price for November jumped 19% in 2017.

The November EU average farm gate milk price increased by 0.8% to 37.83c/kg incl. VAT, and marked a 10.2% increase compared to the average figure in the last five years.

In Ireland, the November milk price ranged from 35.1c/l excl. VAT from Arrabawn, to 33.11c/l excl. VAT from Glanbia.

Overall, the EU MMO reported that there had been general decrease in EU dairy product prices for the last week compared to the previous four weeks, bar whole milk powder (WMP) which had seen a 9% price increase.

In the US, the November farm gate milk price increased to 36.3c/kg which was a 11.1% increase, while the price of milk in New Zealand decreased by 6.7% to 30c/kg.
