Tulla Trad Festival

19-21 September: The eighth annual Tulla Trad Festival offers a weekend of music, song and dance, with concerts, céilís and workshops at the home of Irish music. Wild Festival

18-21 September: Comeragh’s Wild Festival celebrates the culture, heritage and activities associated with the Comeragh Mountains, as well as highlighting the natural beauty and diversity of the area. National Ploughing Championships

23-25 September: Europe’s largest outdoor exhibition and agricultural trade show returns to Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co Laois. Attracting an average of 1,350 exhibitors and over 200,000 visitors annually, the event has something for everyone. Visit www.npa.ie for more information.

Bike & Hike

27 September: The Bike & Hike is being organised by the Aurivo Co-operative Society in aid of hospices in Galway and the northwest. It includes a 82km cycle, starting at 8.30am. BlueFire Festival

20 September: Dublin’s intercultural street festival takes place from 12-10pm in Smithfield Square. It showcases the very best of music and performing arts from different cultures.
