Attempts by factories to pull sheep prices have been variable, ranging from 10c to 20c/kg. From €5.50/kg to €5.55/kg paid for factory lambs this time last week, farmers are now being paid €5.30/kg to €5.45/kg.

Quotes are ranging from €5.10/kg to €5.30/kg but higher prices are paid to secure numbers.

The mart trade for factory lambs is firm with lambs weighing 43kg to 46kg, selling for €100 to €114/head.
