Attention all 10-18 year olds! Are you interested in farming? Yes! Would you like to start your own suckler herd or flock? Yes! Well this is the competition for you! Due to the phenomenal success of the last three years, the Irish Farmers Journal Heifer & Hogget competition is back again!
This year we're very lucky to have 8 heifers and 7 pairs of hoggets up for grabs in our competition. These prizes were kindly donated by our sponsors.
But what's it all about? How do you enter?
Every week for three weeks, the Irish Farmers Journal and Irish Country Living will give you a simple question to answer. The material used to answer these questions can come from your own personal farming experience. At the end of the competition you can post, email or submit your answers online.
This website has everything you need to know to enter the competition. If there is something we haven't covered please email heifers@farmersjournal.ie
So if you love farming and you want to win a heifer or a pair of hoggets this is the competition for you!
