The wet weather kept the crowd impressed at the Dunmanway Miniature Model and Farm Construction Show, as they enjoyed an impressive display of models and diorama exhibits. The event showed the extent of interest in the Cork area among young and old for scale model collecting.
The range of displays varied from very detailed diorama exhibits to a large number of scratch built machines to simulate farm machines being used on Irish farms today. These models are not available to buy off the shelf so the model enthusiasts have made their own. Most of the work was very details and colours and logos matched the real thing.\
Some model collectors opted to tractor modifications. These gave the tractors available from regular suppliers such as Britains and Siku a more detailed finish to match the real thing. The changes included tyres and internal cab fittings.
In the accompanying photographs we give a flavour of the range of displays from Dunmanway.
