Quality Payment Structure for Steers and Heifers - By Justin McCarthy

A new pricing grid is being introduced on Monday morning. For the past 20 years we have had a flat system were the bulk of cattle were paid on a flat rate basis. Now they are being graded with bonuses and discounts implemented for each grade. To make it easier for farmers I have put together an Excel spreadsheet which allows you to enter the base price, and then calculates the price paid for each grade.
