Shown by first-time exhibitors John Conlon and his four-year-old son Joe from Markethill, Co Armagh, Arnie is a 17-month-old son of Penguin Jock G296 and is out of the Haymount Wurz F676 daughter Penguin Annie K427. He sold for the top price of 3,100gns (€4,100) to ABCD Farms Ltd, Beragh, Co Tyrone.

Alan and Lana Cheney, Trillick, Co Tyrone, took the male and supreme championship with their 23-month-old bull Lana Mizzle P911. By stocksire Blackhaugh Easy Papa G728, he is out of a homebred Rawburn Transformer dam and sold for 2,800gns (€3,700) to W Brownlee, Loughgall, Co Armagh.

Next best at 2,300gns (€3,000) was the second-placed Coolermoney Ricardo P423 bred by Adrian and Graeme Parke, Strabane, Co Tyrone. At 23 months, he is a son of Rosemead Karona J957 and is out of the Coneyisland Legend daughter Coolermoney Rosita J003. The buyer was A McMaster from Kircubbin, Co Down. From a small entry, seven bulls sold to average £2,295 (€2,900).

Top price in the female section at 2,400gns (€3,200) was the six-year-old cow Hillview Pretty Kelso K057, exhibited by Adrian Richardson, Maguiresbridge, Co Fermanagh.

Sired by Coneyisland Legend E112, she is out of the Castle of Mey Elscot daughter Idvies Proud Irene A060 and sold with her two-month-old Dalrene Cruz 11F bull calf at foot.
