The Leinster Entertainment Awards will be held at the Killashee House Hotel, Naas, on 30 March. The show will feature several names from the country circuit, among those on the bill are Nathan Carter, Johnny McEvoy, Jordan Mogey, and American star Leona Williams. Down to You and Me is the new single from Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis. It was written by Fermanagh native Eugene Cunningham and charts the musical journey of Thomas and Fhiona since they started out on the showbusiness road.

Martha Moran (nee Freyne) from Castlerea, who died recently, was the mother of Sean Moran, drummer with the Mike Denver Band. She was 96 and was predeceased by her husband, John. Her other son Tommy co-wrote some songs with John Watters.

Dance With The One is the first single release from a new album by Jacqui Sharkey. The Gretchen Peters song suits the style of the lady from Gweedore and features the work of Ray McLoughlin, Tony Fitzgibbon, Tim Galloway, Dave Wintour and Danny Sheerin.

This week sees the release of a two-track single from father and son duo, Patrick and Conor O’Sullivan. My Old Melodeon is Patrick’s choice and the song was composed by Seamus Shannon from Roscommon. Conor has opted for God’s Plan, written by Derek Ryan.

Galway-based Noel Glynn returns to the scene with Across The Blue Sea. The song was released by John Glenn about two years ago and was a sizeable hit for the man from Armagh. Noel is hoping it will prove equally popular for him.
