How To Enter

Home

Entry to the competition is very simple, and can be done via post or email.

This year however, we also have one heifer up for grabs for the best online profile you create on this site. You may post images, tables, graphs, attachments etc to your portal entries that Justin and Shirley will judge.

Justin and shirley will also be constantly reviewing your entries, so watch out for any comments they may leave on your posts. The more  posts you make, the better your chance of winning

Mention that when you sign up and login from your confirmation email, you will see a special menu with help , hints and tips on posting content

 

Postal Or Email Entries:

All you need to do is post your entry (details below) to “Heifer Competition”, Irish Farmers Journal, Irish Farm Centre, Bluebell, Dublin 12 or email an entry to heifers@farmersjournal.ie

There are 3 heifers up for grabs for those aged between 10 -14 years*. To enter:
o    send us a photo of yourself with your cattle
o    answer the following questions:

  • Why do you like cattle?
  • What do you do to help out on your farm
  • Why should you win one of these heifers?
    (no more than 400 words in total)

There are 4 heifers up for grabs for those aged between 15 and 18 years**. To enter:
o    send us a photo of yourself with your cattle
o    answer the following questions:

  • If you were the Minister of Agriculture what would you do to encourage young people to go farming?
  • What would you like to see the Farmers Journal doing for young people interested in farming?
  • Why should you win one of these heifers?
    (no more than 600 words in total)
     

Online Entry:


There is one heifer up for grabs for the person who creates the best online profile at this site. Sign up now. If your entry via post or email is not successful, you have another chance of winning a heifer this year by creating one of the best profile entries on this website.
