The Final Countdown..!!

Home » Blogs » Blue-Bell-Missy's blog

Well the time has come for my final blog. :(

I will really miss coming in from the farm every evening and sitting down to update my blog. It has been a great experience for me and now looking back at my earlier posts I am surprised with how much I have actually learned over the past month or so. I hope every one has enjoyed my blogs and maybe learned a thing or two from them. I have had great fun taking pictures on and of the farm and making the few videos too!!.. I would like to say thanks to everyone involved with this competition in the Farmers Journal, I know it must take some time and effort to go through all the blogs on top of all the daily work to be done.

I am going back to school on Thursday and all the information (and pictures) I have gathered and used for my blogs will be very useful for my agricultural science project for my Leaving Certificate so having done the blogs will be a great bonus to me. It's going to be tough going back to school. It's going to be a big change from getting up every morning and putting on the wellies for the day but without a doubt I'll still find time to go farming whether its early in the morning before school or at four o'clock when I get home!!...

Every evening last year I came home dropped the schoolbag, changed into the pull ups and wellies and I was gone for the evening. One evening I came home from school and there was a cow calving, I didn't even get time to change out of my uniform so I just stuck on the wellies! It was a section and to say the least my uniform was in no state to wear to school the next day after I helped lift the calf out of the cow!! My mam went mad but it didn't really bother me!!:L

I am really looking forward to the ploughing championships in September as we are bringing Bambii down to it. He will be on show at the Parthenaise Society stand if anyone is interested!!.. During the three days I will be sure to drop into the Farmers Journal stand for a chat and of course the paper on Thursday morning!! But like last year I will be probably drop in everyday!!..

I have been reading everyone’s blogs from day one. There were many interesting and educational blogs and I have to say there is very tough competition out there. So goodluck to the finalists and “Roll on Ploughing ‘09”. :D

Blue-Bell-Missy!!...

I have been looking through this summer’s pictures and I have found one that I think describes my summer all in one... You can see for yourself!!...
