Storm Ewan will bring wind gusts of up to 120km/h to counties Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford, Met Éireann has warned.

The south and southeast coastal counties have been issued with a status orange wind warning until later on Sunday afternoon.

Met Éireann has also issued a status yellow wind warning for counties Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.

In those counties, south to southwesterly winds will reach average speeds of 50km/h to 65km/h, with gusts of 90km/h to 110km/h into the afternoon.

In the west, there are reports of flash flooding in Co Galway as heavy rain falls.
