Award for NutriBio

NutriBio scooped a gold medal at the recent Innovation Awards for their range of horse treats, Nutrilicks. Nutribio Ltd and Horseware Products Ltd’s range of Nutrilicks horse treats were developed as low-sugar treats for the recreational equine market.

Current products in this sector have sugar levels between 30% and 80%, while Nutrilicks offers a healthier, highly palatable alternative with only 18% sugar.

TIHA lobbies HSI

The Traditional Irish Horse Association is lobbying Horse Sport Ireland for €80,000 of the €160,000 earmarked for sport horse breeding in Budget 2017. HSI Director of Breeding, Alison Corbally, said last Friday she had no update on where this funding was earmarked for yet.

Athlacca charity ride

The annual Dromin-Athlacca cross country ride will take place on Sunday, 30 October at 12.30pm. Starting from the Co Limerick village of Athlacca, entry costs €100 for adults. Local charities will benefit this year.

Show jumpers Awards Ball

A revamped Showjumping Awards Ball will be held on Saturday, 10 December next at the Killashee House Hotel, Co Kildare.

The black-tie event will include a new, sharper format for the award presentations, a sponsored drinks reception as well as an auction, a “Magic Mirror’’, spot prizes, a DJ, and the acclaimed Jukebox Kings band.

Masterclass

Tipperary Olympian Greg Broderick and course designer Alan Wade are teaming up to hold a master class demonstration at Tipperary EC, Mill Road, Thurles, on Monday, 31 October.

The event is in aid of Thurles Charity Show, a summer event supported by Tipperary EC’s owners Tomas Ryan and Fiona Hyland-Ryan.
