The sale in Dublin comprised over 220 lots. There was a large selection of farmyard equipment and machinery on offer including tractors such as a 2002 JCB 3190 Fasttrac and Landini 5830 as well as slurry tankers, sprayers, power washers and generators.

This Landini 5830 with 3,433 hours on the clock sold in the auction for €2,200.

Top prices on the day included a 2007 Hyster 5FT Forklift with 9,738 hours on the clock being sold at €10,500, a 2006 Takeuchi TB125 Excavator with 5,163 hours selling for €6,500 and a SDMO 220KVA Generator selling for €3,500.

There was also a solid interest in the 2002 NC 10T Agricultural Tipper Trailer with strong bidding online and in the auction. An online bidder received good value with the trailer selling at €3,400.

Grass equipment

There was exceptional value found for grass equipment, both large- and small-scale, with a McHale 991 bale wrapper selling for €1,300 and lawnmowers going under the hammer for as little as €2.50.

A Connor 1,350 gallon slurry tank with 8,000-litre pump sold for €600.

There was a high demand for general equipment including a number of three-stage ladders selling at €30 and €50, a pair of plastic fuel tanks sold for €10 and a PD Pro power washer going under the hammer for €110.

Popular among bidders, this 2002 NC 10T agricultural tipper trailer sold for €3,400.

This tidy tractor mounted Hardi sprayer with booms went under the hammer for €450.

Ride on mowers were in demand on the day with this Murray ride on mower 30in reaching a price of €475.

Despite one of the hottest weeks of the year, bidders were keen to plan ahead with a strong bidding interest in two 6.5hp snow blower machines. One man swept up a bargain buying both machines for €100.

Mitsubishi FD25K Forklift with 6,392 hours sold for €3,500.

There was a high interest in the auction itself online and in the room. There was a strong online presence with bidders interests sparked in Ireland and England.

Auctioneer Jason Delaney was pleased with the overall clearance of pedestrian tools and machinery. A quarry auction will take place in the middle of the month on 17 May, with the sale of heavier machinery taking top priority.

There were a number of generators up for auction, including this Mosa 44KVA generator with 8,068 hours selling for €900.

The impressive and clean 2002 JCB 3190 Plus Fastrac Tractor with 11,889 hours on the clock remained unsold after the auction having been bid to €13,000. Wilsons Auctions hopes for its sale at €18,000 to €20,000 in the coming days.
