Farmers Journal Investment Conference - Prospering in uncertain times
Prospering in uncertain times
Helping farmers prosper in these uncertain times is the focus of the latest in the instalment in the series of Investment conferences being run the Irish Farmers Journal.
Circumstances have changed dramatically since the Irish Farmers Journal ran the initial conferences titled ‘Investment decision for your future’ three years ago. In the conferences this autumn we will revisit what was said in 2006 and examine exactly what has happened since. More importantly we will focus on what farmers should do now with their investments both on and off the farm.
The conferences are on Thursday 30 October in Mullingar and Thursday 6 November in Clonmel. Each conference is being run from 3pm to 8.30pm. The conferences are sponsored by FBD Trust.
The conference is about helping farmers weigh up their current options and more importantly give them independent advice and information on making the best choice for their family.
The first session will look at how the economy has really changed and how it has impacted on different businesses. The second sessions looks at how the changes impact on individual farmers who are investing either on or off the farm. We will look at the value of investing in shares now as well as the current property market. The final session is on the power within that farmers have to start their own business, to control their own destiny.
There will also be a wide range of financial trade stands for viewing on the day. All the major banks as well as property and share providers will allow you to see they are there in the bad times as well as the good ones to give you advice.
