Today will start mostly dry with sunny spells, especially in the east and south. It will be cloudier in the west and northwest, with scattered outbreaks of rain in coastal areas of the northwest around midday. The rain will push further inland during the afternoon and turn persistent over Connacht and Ulster. Elsewhere, it will become cloudy, with just scattered outbreaks of rain by evening, but parts of the south and southeast are likely to stay mostly dry. Top temperatures of 17°C to 22°C, highest in parts of the south and east.
