She’s the Galway girl and loving every minute of her country lifestyle. Aine Crehan is the latest to hit the country trail and within months of the release of her debut single, Aine has already been signed up for The Phil Mack Country Show tour.

Blue Kentucky Girl, an old Emmylou Harris chart-topper, was Aine’s first port of call when it came to the recording scene. It was a good choice for the young singer – a readily identifiable song that resonates deeply with country followers. Any Man of Mine was her follow-up and now a third single is due out in the coming weeks, ahead of an album planned for later in the year. Videos of her song have featured on Irish TV Sky 191 over the last few months.

“The whole thing has taken me by surprise,” says Aine. “I will be singing at Phil Mack’s concerts at Sinah Warren, Hayling Island, UK, and also in Buncrana and the Armagh City Hotel in the coming weeks. I am thrilled to be part of these shows. I have been invited along to sing a few songs with Mick Flavin at Keane’s in Oranmore on 23 February as well.

“I plan to pursue a career in country music. It has been a wonderful journey so far and it is my dream to continue singing country music. It is what I love and, please God, I will continue to have more success with my next single.” CL
