The new range of BibLoad tyres from Michelin are said to bring improvements in comfort, traction and wear.

A farm in the UK recently made the switch from Michelin XMCL tyres to Michelin BibLoad tyres on its telehandlers with positive results.

The advantages, according to Chris Germany of Germany Farms, are better grip, stability and comfort for the operator. The farm has two Claas telehandlers which have been fitted with the new tyres designed primarily for use on hard surfaces. Chris farms 3,000 acres and has a seven million-head broiler business.

According to Michelin, the tyres are less prone to punctures and can tolerate more wear and tear. The diamond shaped-pattern tread offers a 44% greater contact patch than the equivalent XMCL tyre, increasing tyre life and grip.
