Aurivo Co-op Society, in conjunction with Progressive Genetics and the Irish Farmers Journal, are organising three farm information seminars, the first of which will take place this evening, Monday 5 October in Aurivo Balla mart. Next up is Aurivo Mart Ballymote on Tuesday evening, 6 October and finishing with Aurivo Mohill mart on Wednesday evening, 7 October. All events commence at 8pm and include a mixture of presentations and live cattle demonstrations.

Topics included in the talks include a focus on nutrition and winter feeding from Aurivo personnel, a market update and outlook from Bord Bia while MSD Animal Health will cover winter health programmes.

The talks are ideally timed for the live demonstration of cattle organised by Progressive Genetics as it will focus heavily on breeding and meeting requirements of the Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP). Teagasc and ICBF advisers will also be in attendance to deal with any specific issues relating to BDGP.
