Alfalfa imported from Spain. \ Philip Doyle

On Tuesday this week, a truckload of fodder arrived to Glanbia's farm store in Glenmore, Co Kilkenny.

In the midst of the fodder crisis, Glanbia farmers went to the cooperative and asked for fodder.

Glenbia business manager for south Kilkenny and south Wexford, Michael Ryan, set about sourcing fodder for the farmers in need and was able to find 700t of silage in Armagh and Antrim.

In addition to this silage, Glanbia was also able to import alfalfa from Spain. \ Philip Doyle
