It remained dry for day one of the 2017 National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Tullamore.

Some 112,500 people made it through the gates, 12,500 more people than day one in 2016.

Day one saw the winning innovators announced in the Innovation Arena along with the 2017 FBD National Farmyard Award winners.
