Weanling bulls sold from €290 up to €670 with their weight at Friday’s sale. The 250kg to 310kg bull weanling is still selling well with €2.50/kg to €2.80/kg available for the R grades and up with some lots exceeding this. Bulls above 400kg were selling from €1.95/kg to €2.20/kg with quality and weight a big determinant to final price. There has been no huge change in price for bulls in the 310kg to 400kg weight range. As with all cattle, any of poorer quality are a tougher sell.
