ABP Food Group employs in excess of 10,000 people at more than 35 processing facilities around the world and easily had the biggest stand at last week’s Agri Careers Fair.

After the Department of Agriculture and Teagasc, ABP also had the highest number of jobs on offer on the day, at 153 in total. These jobs are located right across the country. ABP says that while experience in the food and agricultural sector is an asset, it is happy to consider applications from candidates employed in other sectors who can transfer their skill sets and expertise.

In this vein, ABP is looking to fill 30 graduate positions across a range of areas including accountancy, IT, HR, health and safety, engineering, project engineering, quality assurance, production management, sales and marketing, research and development, procurement, internal audit, lean engineering, sustainability, environmental, animal welfare and technical. These positions are located across ABP Bandon, ABP Cahir, ABP Clones, ABP Nenagh, ABP Rathkeale and ABP Waterford.

Boners and trimmers

ABP is also recruiting for five boners and five trimmers across each of these six sites so there are vacancies for 30 boners and 30 trimmers altogether.

ABP Cahir is looking for a newly qualified accountant and for a payroll administrator and is also looking to fill a junior/graduate sales position on the same site. ABP is also looking for a junior/graduate mechanical engineer and a junior quantity surveyor as well as an energy systems conservation engineer and a business analyst, all at its Ardee site.
