According to Motorcheck.ie figures, a total of 207 new tractors were registered in April.
John Deere led registrations last month, with a total of 53 new tractors sold.
Massey Ferguson and New Holland are tied in second place, with both brands having registered 37 new tractors each for the month. Next in line we see that Case IH, Claas, and Fendt have all registered 13 new tractors each.
Looking at what models Irish farmers and agricultural contractors are buying, we see that the New Holland T7.210 has proved the most popular, with a total of 19 units registered in April. Next up we see that the John Deere 6155M and 6155R are continuing to prove popular, with 14 new units registered. In third, we see that Claas has seen 12 new Arions registered.
The New Holland T8.410 was the largest tractor registered in Ireland in April.
The largest tractor that New Holland has registered is a new T8.410. Powered by a six-cylinder FPT Cursor 9 engine, this tractor has a maximum output of a significant 409hp.
