A good-sized block of tillage land has come on the market at Harperstown, Taghmon, Co Wexford. The property consists of 68ac under cereals and 5ac under mature woodland, or 73ac in all. There’s a crop of spring barley on the ground at the moment.

The land is in one lot, situated 15km west of Wexford town, 4km from Taghmon and about 1km off the Newline road at The Coach Inn pub.

It’s divided into three fields. The land has extensive road frontage onto two roads and good access. The ruins of the old Harperstown House are on the land.

“This is an excellent parcel of agricultural land extending to 73ac,” said Colum Murphy from Kehoe & Associates. “We are offering this non-residential holding for sale in one lot with a guide price of €8,000 to €10,000 per acre.”

The auction will take place at 3pm on Thursday, 20 August. It will be held at The Talbot Hotel, to comply with appropriate social distancing guidelines.
