Limerick-based Samco won the inaugural ACE AgriTech award at this year’s Enterprise Ireland Innovation Arena. Ace (AgriTech Centre of Excellence) is a public-private partnership funded by Enterprise Ireland through the mechanism of the Regional Enterprise Development Fund, along with the Munster Technological University, Kerry County Council, as well as agritech collaborators Dairymaster, McHale Engineering and Abbey Machinery.

ACE offers a range of e-learning and virtual reality solutions via its state-of-the-art virtual, augmented and mixed reality suite located at the Munster Technological University Kerry Campus.

Solutions

The ACE suite is custom-built to offer a unique mix of virtual and physical solutions. There are a range of AR and VR headsets, a state-of-the-art 5m 180-degree immersive curved screen with floor projection, interactive touchscreens and multiple 3D and 360° cameras, as well as a variety of drones.
