Well-established materials handling manufacturer Merlo showcased a number of new agricultural telehandlers including the Turbofarmer 65.9CS and the new Multifarmer 44.9CS.

The new electric E-Worker in particular took the interest of many. Two models are available, the two-wheel-drive 25.5-60 and the four-wheel-drive 25.5-90.

The 25.5-60 has a total power output of 44kW (60hp) from its motors while the 25.5-90 has a total power output of 66kW (90hp).

Both models have a maximum lift height of 5m with a maximum lift capacity of 1,500kg at 5m. The E-Worker has an unladen weight of 4,500kg and a top speed of 22km/h.

The E-Worker’s compact design and steering lock allowing it to almost turn on its axis is what makes it different, yet its cab is a generous 785mm wide. Overall dimensions of the E-Workers are 1530mm wide and 3280mm in length with a height of 1950mm.

The battery pack has the ability to run the telehandlers electric motors and hydraulic pump for up to eight hours. Charging time is believed to be in the region of three hours.
