Friday

A dry day is in store for Friday for most with spells of hazy sunshine, according to Met Éireann. However, it will gradually turn cloudy over the western half of the country through the afternoon and evening with rain moving into western and southwestern towards nightfall. Highest temperatures of 14°C to 17°C with southerly winds increasing moderate to fresh, strong near at times near Atlantic coasts.

Friday night will turn rather wet for a time as a band of rain tracks eastwards across the country. Met Éireann has said it will be heavy in places. Lowest temperatures of 8°C to 12°C.

Saturday

Rain along with moderate to fresh southerly winds for eastern-facing counties will clear through the morning to leave a mostly dry and sunny day with a few showers. However, there is a chance that the rain could linger for longer in the northeast. Highest temperatures will be of 13°C to 17°C in light to moderate west or northwest wind.

Saturday night will be dry with long clear spells for most.

It will be chilly with lowest temperatures of 3°C to 8°C generally in light westerly or variable breezes with some mist and fog patches developing.

Sunday

Sunny spells and well scattered light showers are expected on Sunday. Highest temperatures of 14°C to 17°C in light west or southwest or variable breezes.
