Thomas Foods, an Australian meat processor, has bought Mount Schanck station in southern Australia.
The farm is set on 2,870ha and the sale includes more than 2,000 Angus cows with calves and over 2,500 ewes with lambs.
It also includes plant machinery and equipment and a four-bedroom house.
Some 700ha of the farm has been developed for irrigation purposes and has lucerne grassland.
Mount Schanck was once owned by Edward and Fortescue Arthur, who were the sons of the governor of Van Diemen’s Land.
