Tipperary Choir

6 December: The choir Ormond Octaves will perform their Christmas Concert in St Mary’s church, in Nenagh, at 8pm. The programme includes Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah and Christmas favourites. The concert is in aid of the neonatal unit in Limerick Maternity Hospital. Tickets cost €10 and are available from choir members and on the door.

Cork concert

7 December: Four students from St Mary’s secondary school, Mallow – Niamh Fitzpatrick, Lauren O’Grady, Lainey Corroon and Jodie Buckley – are organising a concert to raise funds to travel to Calcutta with the Hope Foundation in April. The show starts at 8pm, in the community centre in Freemount.Tickets are €10 for adults and €5 for children over five.

Wexford market

7 to 23 December: The Christmas market returns to the courtyard at Wells House and Gardens, Gorey. Santa will welcome visitors to the great hall, Mrs Claus will lead a storytelling session in her cottage and children can decorate their own bauble in the elves’ workshop. Farmyard Christmas

7 to 22 December: The Farmyard Christmas Experience in Dabrian, Corofin, Co Clare, is packed with festive activities for children. Visit the live nativity crib and take a tractor ride to the elf workshop. Kids will also get a present from Santa. Adults cost €10 and children cost €20. 7 to 15 December: The Mellowes Adventure Centre will have some special guests this Christmas, including some Disney characters, elves, Mrs Claus, and Santa.
