Aurivo has appointed David Faughan as manager of Ballymote Mart, Co Sligo, and Daragh Barden as manager of Mohill Mart, Co Leitrim. The appointments take place with immediate effect.

Faughan joined Aurivo in 2009 and has worked across the Homeland branch network where he was branch manager in Riverstown. Prior to joining Aurivo, he held bank official and auditing positions within AIB Bank.

He also previously worked in Aurivo’s mart business in his earlier career. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Rural Enterprise and Agri-Business.

Faughan is also an executive committee member of the Midland and Western Cattle Improvement Society, a committee member of Mohill Agricultural Show and is an approved cattle judge with the Irish Show Society.

Mohill

Daragh Barden joined Mohill Mart in 2013. Since joining, he has gained significant experience in the running of a mart and has made a considerable contribution to the overall operations of the mart, Aurivo said.

He has a huge interest in livestock and is a part-time farmer and also holds a Certificate in Agriculture and Farm Management from Ballyhaise Agricultural College. Most recently, he successfully completed his Mart Management Development Programme at the Technological University, Dublin.

Martin Walsh, general manager, Aurivo Marts congratulated David and Daragh on their appointments.
