Following a board meeting, Aurivo has decided to increase its March milk price by 0.93c/litre on February levels.

A statement from Aurivo reads: “Aurivo’s board has risen the February base milk price by 0.93c/litre and will pay a base price of 33.6c/litre ex VAT at 3.3% protein and 3.6% fat. Markets are generally stable with demand and supply in equilibrium as we enter peak milk production.”

Northern Ireland

Farmers in Northern Ireland supplying Aurivo will also get a price increase of 0.75p/litre, taking the price to 28.75p/litre, according to the co-op.

On Friday last Dairygold and Carbery announced price increases and previously Arrabawn, Glanbia, Lakeland and Dairygold announced March prices.

The Ornua purchasing price index (PPI) is up to 112.6 for March after a relatively steady three months prior to that. This converts into a farmgate equivalent of 34 c/litre ex VAT at base solids when the Ornua premium is included. This price can be compared to announced milk prices.
