The 143ac former dairy farm at Coolnahinch, Co Meath, was sold to one buyer by Raymond Potterton Auctioneers. There was first bidding on lots before bidding for the entire opened at €1.1m. Three bidders then became involved and the farm was eventually knocked down at €1.29m.

TE Potterton in Trim sold 23ac at Woodtown, Athboy, Co Meath. Bidding opened at €170,000. It went up in increments of €5,000 to €235,000. After consultations the property went on the market but there were no further bids and the land was knocked down at the €235,000, or €10,217/ac. The buyers were a young couple from Dublin with farming backgrounds.

Kildare

Jordan Auctioneers successfully sold 33.3ac at Mayfield, Monasterevin, Co Kildare, shortly after the auction earlier this month. In front of a small attendance, the bidding opened at €250,000. Three active bidders took the price as far €380,000, at which point bidding stopped.

After discussions with the landowner the property was withdrawn from auction. Brief negotiation then took place and the land was sold to the highest bidder for an undisclosed sum.
