BPS 2019 opens for applications

Farmers can now submit applications online to recieve payment under the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) 2019.

Applications to the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) for 2019 are now open.

Farmers will have until midnight on 15 May to submit their application. Applications submitted after this date will incur a penalty.

As of last year, all applications must be completed online through the agfood.ie website. Alternatively, farmers can authorise a consultant or advisor to submit an application on their behalf.

Upwards of 123,000 BPS applications were received in 2018. To date, 122,787 farmers have been paid a total of €1.17bn.
